PRIVACY POLICY
Your privacy is important to us, so Kevin Schell, a service provider based in
Germany, has created the following Privacy Policy ("Policy") to let you know what information we collect
when you visit our website https://zoneshare.app/ ("Site") and when you use the macOS application "Zone Share"
("App", and together with the Site, the "Service"), why we collect it and how we use it.
The terms "You," "Your," "Yours" and "User"
refer to the entity/person/organization using our Service.
When this Policy mentions "We", "Us," and "Our" it refers
to Kevin Schell.

For any questions regarding this Policy or any requests regarding the processing of
personal data, please contact us at support@zoneshare.app.
1. INFORMATION WE
COLLECT
When you use our Service or contact us directly we may collect information, including your
personal information, about the way you interact with our Service and the services you use.
This information is necessary for the adequate performance of the contract between You
and us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR), to enable us to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR),
and based on our legitimate interest in being able to provide and improve the functionalities of the Service
(Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
- Log data and Device information. We automatically collect log data and device information when you access
and use the Site. That information includes, among other things: date/timestamp and operating system.
- License Data. When activating, validating, or deactivating a Pro license in the App, we process the license key
provided by you.
- Device Identifier. We generate and process a device identifier based on your Mac Device UUID. This
identifier is used to associate a license activation with a specific device and to enforce device limits.
- Activation Data. We process activation-related identifiers (such as activation ID) issued by the licensing
API of Polar.sh.
- Technical Data. Basic technical request data (e.g. timestamps, request metadata) may be processed when
communicating with the licensing API of Polar.sh.
- Update Check Data. When the App checks for available updates, a request is sent to our server. This
request transmits your IP address as part of the HTTP connection. We do not permanently store this data
beyond standard transient server processing.
- Pricing Request Data. When the App retrieves current pricing information from our server, a request is
sent that transmits your IP address. We do not permanently store this data beyond standard transient server
processing.
LICENSE VERIFICATION
License management is handled by our third-party provider Polar.sh. We transmit limited
data required for license activation and validation, including:
- License key
- Device identifier (e.g. hardware-based UUID)
- Activation identifiers
This processing is necessary to perform the contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) and
to protect against license misuse based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
This data is used solely for license management, validation, and enforcement purposes.
UPDATE CHECKS & PRICING INFORMATION
The App periodically contacts our server infrastructure (hosted via Netlify) for two
purposes:
- Update Checks. On launch or on manual trigger by the user, the App sends a request to our server to determine whether a
newer version is available. This request necessarily transmits your IP address as part of the HTTP
connection. No additional personal data is sent, and the server does not log or retain any personal data
from these requests beyond transient processing.
- Pricing Information. The App retrieves current pricing data from our server to display
up-to-date subscription and purchase options. This request necessarily transmits your IP address as part of
the HTTP request. No additional personal data is sent, and the server does not log or retain any personal
data from these requests beyond transient processing.
These requests are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping users
informed about software updates and current pricing, and in ensuring the continued functionality and security of
the App (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). No data collected through these requests is shared with third parties or
used for any purpose other than providing the requested information to the App.
2. THE WAY WE USE
YOUR INFORMATION
We process your information adhering to the general data processing principles.
We may use the information we collect through our Service for a number of reasons,
including to:
- activate and validate the license key
- associate licenses with devices and enforce license limits
- prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized use of licenses

We will collect personal information from you only where we need the personal
